Join us for our 13th annual Asinabka Film & Media Arts Festival in Ottawa, Canada on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Nation, over 6 days from August 6 to 11, 2024. Our Festival showcases a wide variety of films, in different genres and lengths, from Indigenous cultures and nations from around the world. You can also expect thoughtfully curated art exhibits, workshops, panels, industry events, and cutting-edge music and performance events. The 13 moons of the Anishinaabe lunar year inspire this year’s celestial theme, and represent 13 years of celebrating diverse, contemporary Indigenous arts on Anishinaabe Algonquin territory. We look forwards to seeing you there!
Chi-Miigwech and a Big Thank You to all of the artists and filmmakers that made this years festival possible! Also a special thanks to the Embassy of Mexico in Canada for our Spotlight on Indigenous Films and Art from Mexico. Miigwech to all of our partners, particularly our host venues and supporters, DARC, Gallery 101, The Arts Court, SAW, Axeneo7, the ICCA, and the Canada Council for the Arts.
