Join us for our 7th annual Snow Screen Event on February 3, 4, & 5, 2023 at Lansdowne Park outside the horticulture building, and at Beandigen Cafe. A perfect opportunity to get outdoors in the beautiful Ottawa Winter. Enjoy warm beverages and firepits, while watching Indigenous films from the Circumpolar North on a giant screen made entirely of snow! Don't forget you scarves and mittens!
The 12th annual Asinabka Festival is planned to take place with in-person screenings and events, with some online programming, it will run from Aug. 9-13, 2023. The Festival is currently seeking works from independent filmmakers, any film or video that tells First Nations, Métis, or Inuit stories, or focuses on international Indigenous issues, is eligible. Preference is given to films made by Indigenous filmmakers, and to recent films produced within the last two years.
Join us for our 12th annual Asinabka Film & Media Arts Festival in Ottawa, Canada on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Nation, over 5 days from August 9 to 13, 2023. Our Festival showcases a wide variety of films, in different genres and lengths, from Indigenous cultures and nations from around the world. These films, will be presented alongside curated art exhibits, workshops, panels, industry events, and cutting-edge music and performance events. We look forwards to seeing you there!
