Munkha

"Munkha" tells the story of a little girl named Nyukku, who embarks on her first Munkha, a traditional Sakha fishing adventure. Filled with excitement and armed with her "magical" mittens, she dreams of catching a big pile of fish.  Set in the snowy heart of Yakutia, the short film portrays the way modern Indigenous nations of the Arctic live today.

Sent off to Culture Camp to face the consequences on her mom's home settlement, the act of rebellion isn’t so cool as Joey struggles to fit in. What’s worse, the artist’s sister Jay is on the hunt for whoever dishonoured their family and community.

Bannock at Kokom’s

The Lemonade Stand - Making Medecines

Through this project, Paul aims to provide a strong foundation for his daughter so that she can integrate and grow within her community. In this film, Paul and Lyric aspire to share the lessons they have learned along their journey with other children.
