Neon NDN: Indigenous Pop Art Show at SAW Gallery

August 13 - September 24, 2016

Exhibition presented by Asinabka Film & Media Arts Festival 2016 and Galerie SAW Gallery


Artists: Barry Ace, AM (Sébastien Aubin and Caroline Monnet), Shuvinai Ashoona, Sonny Assu, Ludovic Boney, Alison Bremner, Christian Chapman, Rande Cook, Mika Haka, Richard Heikkilä-Sawan, Steven Paul Judd, Rakai Karaitiana, Natasha Keating, Tanya Lukin Linklater, Qavavau Manumie, Kent Monkman, Annie Pootoogook, Nicotye Samayualie and Linus Woods


In this first major survey of Indigenous Pop Art, curator Jocelyn Piirainen assembles the work of 20 contemporary artists from across Canada and beyond, exploring the intersections between popular culture and Indigenous identity.


Opening and performances:

Saturday, August 13, 7PM - 2AM

This event is a part of Asinabka Festival's Gallery Crawl, which includes a solo exhibition by Geronimo Inutiq called ᐃᓱᒪᒋᓇᒍ - isumaginagu - don't think anything of it at Gallery 101.
